Unsteady simulation

Hello everyone,

I am doing a project on OpenFOAM and I need to run a simulation on the starting and stopping vortices of an airfoil.

I have seen all the solver but none seems to have the unsteady component in the NS equation.

any suggestion of which solver i should use and if in the case of not being a unsteady component, which solver should I modify the code?

Thank you so much.

pisoFoam and pimpleFoam are solvers for unsteady models. I recommend using Large Eddy Simulation in that case.

thank you for your answer. It has been very helpful for me.
