OpenFOAM-v1706: interDyMFoam + waves?

Good afternoon,
I just discovered the wave models that come with OpenFOAM-v1706 and wanted to combine them with dynamic mesh refinement. However, even though the boundary condition is available (the according library is in the options file of the solver), there seems to be an issue on that combination (seg faults occur as soon as dynamic mesh refinemen becomes actually necessary.).
Any hints on that?
Best regards

Hi,

I have been running dynamic mesh refinement with waves using olaFoam (olaDyMFoam) for several years now with no problems. You could give it a try. I haven't tested if dynamic mesh refinement works in v1706, though.

Best,

Pablo

Hello Pablo,
thanks a lot for the reply! I'll have a look at it! Still, my intention was rather trying to get it running with interDyMFoam since my final target is using it with a solver derived from the latter. So any hints on that matter are still highly appreciated!
Cheers,
