An inhomogeneous multiphase flow solver in openfoam?
Hello,
I am looking for a way to treat a two-phase (water-vapour) flow system as an inhomogeneous one to see any difference from homogeneous multiphase flow solver. Here is a background story. I am trying a simulation of cavitation behaviour under an ultrasonic vibratory cavitating device to see the sub-harmonic oscillation of the cavity. Up to now, tried the standard openfoam solvers such as interphaseChangeFoam and cavitatingFoam all with a deforming mesh scheme. But, none of them was good enough for capturing the sub-harmonic oscillation frequency correctly. So I am now interested in the subject type of a solver. If anyone could advise me an appropriate solver to start with, it would be really grateful. Sent from my iPhone using CFD Online Forum mobile app |

Have you had a look at twoPhaseEulerFoam? I think that is the type of solver you are looking for. |
