Specify an endTime that isn't a multiple of timestep

I need to obtain a solution at a particular simulated time, but I also need to use a timestep that does not divide exactly into endTime. For example, endTime=10s, timestep=3s. I'd like to have solves at t=3s, t=6s, t=9s then, using a timestep=1s, obtain the final solution at t=10s.

Can I configure this in the controlDict and obtain a solution in a single run?

You should be fine with an endTime of 10s and a writeTime of 3s as it should automatically write at endTime regardless of writeTime.

I suggest making a small test case that runs in a matter of seconds to test this with your version of OF.

I've tried with a small scalarTransportFoam case, https://github.com/hertzsprung/openfoamEndTime. It outputs 3,6 and 9 directories only.
