Dynamic Meshing in OpenFOAM for Fish Motion

Hi,

I am trying to simulate the oscillating trailing edge of an airfoil to replicate a fish motion, is this something that can be done in OpenFOAM? I have seen various application of dynamic mesh with rigid bodies ( rotating or translating ) , is it possible to prescribe the deformation of the geometry then the mesh can be deformed with it ? I saw there was a dynamic mesh solver and RBF mesh motion, not sure if they can do the work.

Can someone please point me to the where to start to find out if this is possible ?

Thank you. :)

So much time has passed since you posted this question. This can be dealt with the wavaDisplacement motion solver. A tutorial about this can be seen on the following link.

That is very interesting, thank you for your answer!

Hi guys,
I always encountered the problem that leads to the simulation crashing due to a large amplitude. I am still trying to generate a suitable mesh for such kind of wavy motion.
