OpenFOAM simulation for packed bed porous media.

Hello FOAMer's

The statement problem is:
The simulation using OpenFOAM, for packed bed porous media in which the liquid absorbent is passed over certain length of column. It captures the CO2 gas and eventually, the liquid changes its viscosity, which as a result, generates a change in liquid holdup, Reynold's number, flow patterns. Thermodynamics and heat transfer is involved in this simulation.
This needed to be executed using Volume of Fluid (VOF) method.

Is there anyone who can provide a knowledge on that, for example, I need to know the solver a suitable solver selection (I am thinking of using twoPhaseEulerFoam).

Also, a little bit of instructions or documents, which can provide a idea about the problem?

Anyone replying?

So the goal is to develop detailed VOF simulations of coupled heat, mass, and momentum transfer problems in small regions representing absorption columns with structured packing, with sub modeling as interphase momentum, mass, heat, and interfacial area transfer.

Please reply guys!

Hi Ash Kot,

I am now facing the same problems. Did you figured out the answer to your questions?
