Dear All, I am facing problem while going through the cylinder tutorials. i am new user of OpenFoam. in cylinder case when i put Allrun command to run i got this :

Restore 0/ from 0.orig/
Running blockMesh on /home/mnaufalazwar/OpenFOAM/mnaufalazwar-v1712/run/cylinder
Running potentialFoam on /home/mnaufalazwar/OpenFOAM/mnaufalazwar-v1712/run/cylinder
Running postProcess on /home/mnaufalazwar/OpenFOAM/mnaufalazwar-v1712/run/cylinder

and then when i try to open it in paraview by type parafoam i got this problem :

ERROR: ParaView reader module library (PVFoamReader) does not exist
Please build the reader module before continuing:

cd $WM_PROJECT_DIR/applications/utilities/postProcessing/graphics/PVReaders
./Allwclean
./Allwmake

Using the native VTK/OpenFOAM reader instead
Created temporary 'cylinder.foam'
ERROR: In /build/paraview-arsa8T/paraview-5.0.1+dfsg1/VTK/IO/Geometry/vtkOpenFOAMReader.cxx, line 8500
vtkPOpenFOAMReader (0x404cd00): Can't open /home/mnaufalazwar/OpenFOAM/mnaufalazwar-v1712/run/cylinder/constant/

and the paraview was opened but nothing shows up. Please help me to understand this problem. thaks

Check if the constant/polyMesh/ exists and it has files in it like: boundary, cellzones, faces, neighbour, owner, and points
Even if you fail at running potentialFoam or the postProcess utility, you can at least open a mesh in paraView/paraFoam as long as you have a valid mesh.

I don't know which tutorial you are running but it failed at blockMesh or even earlier.

Find your blockMeshDict. Usually it sits in constant/polyMesh but sometimes also in system. If you can't find this file, you're missing files. Happy hunting.
