# Floating point exception (core dumped)

Courant Number mean: 2.4426e-10 max: 0.696321 Interface Courant Number mean: 2.18474e-14 max: 0.000194981 deltaT = 7.78442e-111 Time = 1.69242e-05 PIMPLE: iteration 1 MULES: Solving for alpha.water Phase-1 volume fraction = 2.57694e-11 Min(alpha.water) = -0.554977 Max(alpha.water) = 1 MULES: Solving for alpha.water Phase-1 volume fraction = 2.57694e-11 Min(alpha.water) = -0.554891 Max(alpha.water) = 1 #0 Foam::error:rintStack(Foam::Ostream&) at ??:? #1 Foam::sigFpe::sigHandler(int) at ??:? #2 ? in "/lib64/libc.so.6" #3 double Foam::sumProd(Foam::UList const&, Foam::UList const&) at ??:? #4 Foam::PCG::solve(Foam::Field&, Foam::Field const&, unsigned char) const at ??:? #5 Foam::fvMatrix::solveSegregated(Foam::dict ionary const&) at ??:? #6 Foam::fvMatrix::solve(Foam::dictionary const&) at ??:? #7 ? at ??:? #8 __libc_start_main in "/lib64/libc.so.6" #9 ? at ??:? FOAM Warning : From function virtual void Foam::wedgePolyPatch::calcGeometry(Foam::PstreamBu ffers&) in file meshes/polyMesh/polyPatches/constraint/wedge/wedgePolyPatch.C at line 70 Wedge patch 'frontAndBackPlanes_neg' is not planar. At local face at (-0.0999909 0.02875 -0.00125406) the normal (0 -0.0435786 -0.99905) differs from the average normal (-1.87367e-08 -0.0435779 -0.99905) by 4.02353e-13 Either correct the patch or split it into planar parts These are two errors i am facing .i tried with many different courant no ranging from 0.01 to 100. i dont know exactly where i am making mistakes. i also searched thread related to this problem. i am not able figure it out. Any suggestions ??

Well, the log is telling to you clearly what the problem is: fix the non-planar faces
