Hi there,
I am very new to OpenFOAM and have been using it as part of my undergraduate thesis. I have been using the aachenBomb tutorial (under the sprayFoam solver) as a basis for my project, which is simulating the injection and combustion of n-dodecane. I have created and successfully run the wedge mesh to convert it to 2D. However, I am in the process now of converting the fuel n-heptane to n-dodecane to suit my case. I have been given two files to replace the chem.imp and therm.dat files in the aachenBomb case, that have been used successfully in openFoam4 for n-dodecane. However, I am getting the following error message. I have not modified the files at all, and in their current form they work in openFOAM4. nProcs : 1 sigFpe : Enabling floating point exception trapping (FOAM_SIGFPE). fileModificationChecking : Monitoring run-time modified files using timeStampMaster (fileModificationSkew 10) allowSystemOperations : Allowing user-supplied system call operations // * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * // Create time Create mesh for time = 0 PIMPLE: Operating solver in PISO mode Reading g Creating combustion model Selecting combustion model PaSR<psiChemistryCombustion> Selecting chemistry type { chemistrySolver ode; chemistryThermo psi; } Selecting thermodynamics package { type hePsiThermo; mixture reactingMixture; transport sutherland; thermo janaf; energy sensibleEnthalpy; equationOfState perfectGas; specie specie; } Selecting chemistryReader chemkinReader Reading CHEMKIN thermo data in new file format --> FOAM FATAL ERROR: while reading thermodynamic specie name on line 3 'N2 121286N 2 G 0300.00 5000.00 1000.00 1 From function int Foam::chemkinReader::lex() in file chemistryReaders/chemkinReader/chemkinLexer.L at line 1514. FOAM exiting Is this simply a formatting error being picked up by openFOAM? or something different between the chemkin readers of openfoam4 and openfoam5. Thanks, Tim |
