Calculate forces and force coefficients -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

losiola Member Os Join Date: Jun 2017 Posts: 80 Rep Power: 8	hello, i am making a 2D airfoil simulation using two solvers : steadystate solver simpleFoam and transient solver pimpleFoam. I am interested in calculating lift and drag (both forces and coefficients ) and moment is it Okk to juse calculate cl cd cm and L D and M in steady state or it has to be done in both the simulations . Thank you.
