shang2 is on a distinguished road
I've been trying to build a small cluster as a learning experience and am a bit stuck.

> I am currently testing it out with just the host and a single node.
> I decomposed a test case into 8 processor directories and placed it on both machines (they are cloned with different names)
> I use the command "mpirun -x MPI_BUFFER_SIZE -n 8 --hostfile machinefile rhoPimpleFoam -parallel"

I get the error:

Code:
[tb1:18559] *** Process received signal ***
[tb1:18559] Signal: Segmentation fault (11)
[tb1:18559] Signal code: Address not mapped (1)
[tb1:18559] Failing at address 0x326270
[tb1:18559] *** End of error message ***
Segmentation Fault
I am able to passwordless ssh into my node and recursively into the host. I have tested the test case in parallel on the individual machines. Also, if I don't have "-x MPI_BUFFER_SIZE", I get an error that it is not defined. I believe I need to fix a path somewhere. Can someone help me with these two things?

Thank you!

Quick questions:
  1. Which OpenFOAM version/fork are you using?
  2. Which Linux Distribution are you using?
  3. Are both machines running a real machine installation of said Linux Distribution or are any of the machines using WSL or any other Virtualization software or Docker system?
  4. Which installation instructions did you follow?
  5. Did you do anything differently from the original installation instructions?
  6. Did you do the exact same installation method in both machines?
    1. If not, is OpenFOAM installed in the exact same path in both machines?
