Detached eddy simulation - OpenFoam

Hello!!

I'm simulating a supersonic cavity using DES (k omega SST) in OpenFoam. Can anyone tell me where I can find a tutorial case for the same? I'm just a beginner in DES. Kindly help asap!!

Hello!!

There are no tutorials for k-\omega SST DES model in OF. You can try to run the case by building it similar to SA DES case.

The 0 folder requires k, U, omega, nut and p. The fvSolution and fvSchemes can be chosen from the DES tutorial case.

Let me know if you are able to get good results using k-\omega SST DES.

Hi SaiGuru Prasad!
Thanks! That helps a lot. Can you please tell me where I can find DES tutorial cases for SA model?

Code:

tutorials/incompressible/pisoFoam/LES/motorbike/lesFiles
The above is a tutorial for SA DDES, but I guess you can change it to SA DES and it might work just fine.
