Hi,

I am modelling suction through a porous region of a plate, with a boundary layer over the top of that plate. To get the porous jump, I am using the porousBafflePressure BC, which is based on the cyclic patch type. This gives the correct pressure jump across the plate.

However, in practice, the open area on the porous plate is fairly small. If there is no suction, the boundary layer should be unaffected by the presence of the porous region. However, using porousBafflePressure, I have to use cyclic boundary conditions for the other fields, so the no-slip condition and the turbulence wall functions are not imposed. This causes the boundary layer to behave unphysically.

To model this, I would like to apply a no-slip condition in the direction in-plane with the plate, and apply wall functions for the k-w SST turbulence model. Is there a way of achieving this?

Thanks,
Neil
