Hi

I did run my simulation with olaFlow solver and I used snappyHexMesh for generating the mesh area.
when it finishes the simulation, and I want to check my initial wave which is solitary wave (I defined waveHeights, wavePeriods, wavePhases and waveDirs in waveDict), paraview doesn't show me the wave and the blocks in the flume although the folders are written in time intervals!!

I do not know what is wrong with it and where I am doing wrong??

I will appreciate if anyone can help.

Best,
Shima.

Hi Shima,

this looks like an issue with ParaView rather than with olaFlow. If that is the case the OpenFOAM Post-Processing subforum would be the best fit for this thread.

Did you run your case in parallel? Please note that ParaView has an option called "Case Type" that indicates the type of case that you are loading, Reconstructed (serial) or Decomposed (parallel).

Have you tried running the baseWaveFlume case and visualizing it in ParaView? This should work out of the box, if not there is likely a ParaView error on your computer.

Best,

Pablo

Thank you so much for the reply,
No I did not run it parallel, I changed the wave height and it shows the wave, maybe it was because of the mesh size ... but it still does not show me the blocks and I do not know why?
I will post in postprocessing page too

thank you
shima
