Hi all,

I am trying to model laminar gas-solid heat transfer using the chtMultiRegionFoam solver. The idea is hot airflow over a stationary cold flat plate.

At first glance it seems to be working just fine, but on closer inspection of the boundary layer at the gas-solid interface, it appears that both the temperature difference (Tplate=275) and the velocity are not 0 (see attachment).

Some information:
  • Structured mesh, refined at interface
  • All residuals at least e-3
  • Settings in fvSolution and fvSchemes (except the residualControl) as in the multiRegionHeater tutorial
  • OF6 & Paraview 5.4.0

Does anyone have an idea on what is going on here?

Much appreciated,
