Strange velocity field while using waves2Foam

Hi guys, I am a beginner of OpenFOAM and recently I am conducting a research concerned with simulating cylinder vertical oscillation in two-phase fluid computational field. For the purpose of decreasing the wave excited by the cylinder motion, the relaxation zone technique (the waves2Foam solver) was applied in this case, the problem that I have is:

While the pressure field and free surface are simulated properly, the velocity filed was pretty strange: the magnitude of velocity was pretty high in the relaxation zone (in fact, it is supposed to be decreased by such technique), but no obvious velocity increment was observed around the cylinder (I supposed it is a physical pattern the water will be disturbed by the cylinder motion, thus contributing to the velocity increment).

Does anyone ever meet the similar problem described above, or could anyone give me some prompts what happened in my case? How should I adjust the settings of my case? Greatly appreciated for any reply.

The necessary files are packed and uploaded for your kindly reference.

Thank you guys ahead.

Hi

I’m trying to use waveDyMFoam to simulate floating objects, and I also faced the same problems. The velocity or pressure field increases to a very large value in the relaxation zone, but the field near the structure seems perfect. I tried a lot but failed. Your problem solved?
