Has anyone been able to replicate the velocity dip phenomenon that occurs in open channel flow?

I've tried a number of different boundary conditions, solvers and turbulence models and my max velocity always seems to be at the top of the channel.

For single phase flow is there a boundary condition anyone could recommend to use for the surface?

Pretty sure that is my problem area
