Hello Community,
i've ran some simulations with kOmega SST turbulence model in a rotating reference frame. Now i will investigate the compressibility effect and i haven't found an appropriate solver. Actually my case consist only a rotating reference frame, and i don't know which solver is preferable for compressible fluids. greetings, emJay |

Hello emjay,
as far i know foam-extend is the only version providing a compressible SRF solver called steadyCompressibleSRFFoam. If you want to use the foundation version (OFO 5/6/7) or OpenFOAM+ (OFO v1912) you have to modify a solver by yourself. Alternatively you can transform your case to a multi-region (MRF) setup so that you can use rhoSimpleFoam. Last edited by .bastian; January 22, 2020 at 10:59. |
