fluid flow in a non-uniform duct

Hello Everyone,

I have question about modelling a fluid flow through a non-uniform duct.

In my geometry, my fluid shape is as attached in the figure. The blue colored face is inlet and the pink colored face is outlet and fluid is air.

As the shape of my fluid region is changing, so in this case how to find Reynold number to check whether my flow would be laminar or turbulent??

I would suggest to use the smaller pipes diameter as the characteristic length.
