confusion about the unsteady solver

I have noticed that in OpenFoam, both the simpleFoam and pisoFoam solve UVW equation in each time step only once, I don't understand the reason.
We should solve UVW and pressure iteratively in each time step many times.
Could you please give me some answers.

simpleFoam is a steady state solver. pisoFoam, as you mentioned, solves the velocity and then correct the pressure multiple times (2 to 3). The algorithm you mentioned is implement ed in pimpleFoam.
