Hi, i'm trying to use lumpedPointsMotion.

This solver can do FSI by coupling the other stress analysis solver.
In the tutorials, there is sampling data which contains the results of stress analysis, and i can understand how to use tutorial case. However, i can't coupled external solver with openfoam. i want to do following.

1) first, OpenFOAM calculate fluid region. <- simpleFoam
2) OpenFOAM calculate the pressure which acting on the object. <- lumpedPointsMotion
3) External solver (ex. calculix) recieve the pressure information, and calculated the displacement.
4) Ecternal solver send the displacement information to OpenFOAM.
5) go back to 1 and repeat.

the problem is that interaction between 2)and3), 4)and 5) doesn't work.

if you know someting about this solution or hints please tell me.

thank you.

The preCICE project is working to do precisely what you have described. Below is a link to tutorials for linking OpenFOAM and CalculiX
