Hello, guys.
I am trying an easy thing with OpenFoam and I stuck somewhere. I tried many things, but nothing is helping. That’s why I am asking you. In general, I have not a complicated grid for testing. Its just a pipe with another cylinder inside. You can see in on the Pic https://ibb.co/5L2Z5JF. If you want to see the the files: fvSchemes is is here https://textuploader.com/1qfpk fvSolutions: https://textuploader.com/1qfpj controlDict: https://textuploader.com/1qfp9 Thre reason why there are so many comments everywhere is that I copied it from a tutorial with a simile case and now I am trying to adapt in to my case. The error message is the following: Code:
--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR: wrong token type - expected Scalar, found on line 0 the word 'nan' file: /home/simon/Schreibtisch/RohrDraht/MiniFilter/2_3SimEasy/case/system/data.solverPerformance.p_rgh at line 0. From function Foam::Istream& Foam:: operator>>(Foam::Istream&, Foam::doubleScalar&) in file lnInclude/Scalar.C at line 93. FOAM exiting I cannot see any mistake in p_rgh at line 0. This line is only a comment line. You can see that the Courant-Number is written as 'nan'. What I really can't understand in is that according to the formula there allways muest come out a number. What I already did is: In controlDict I set deltaT to a much lower value I experimented with writeControl (timestep and adjustableRumTime) Also, with writePrecision and timePrecision (set to 5/6) I removed prism Layers on the mesh because I thought that’s the reason, but it wasn’t. Most of those steps were all recommended in other posts, so I guess there are more people with the same problem. What I additionally can say is that the saved Steps at first have a deltaT of arond 0.5s. Closer to the error message the deltaT between two saves is only 0.000001s - what is not normal, I guess. I hope this post is good enough to find the problem. Files are visible for one year. Thank you, Simon |
