Hello,

I am working on a chtMultiRegion case. I have successfully coupled all my domains, implemented time dependent externalWallHeatFluxTemperature boundary conditions and etc.

My next challenge is I want to model a heater-thermostat relationship, where the heater is either turned on or off depending on the temperature a specific "thermostat node" reads. My end goal is to have my heater turn on when the thermostat reads 20C, and then turn off once the thermostat reads 40C.

Anyone have any tips on how to implement something like this? I know I can generate heat on a wall with externalWallHeatFluxTemperature boundary condition, and it looks like codedFixedValueFvPatchField could implement some sort of coded in on/off behavior.

I'm still very new to OpenFOAM so I would appreciate your thoughts on a path forward to create this type of behavior.

Thanks
