Oscillation Force Coefficients in DPM-FOAM

3 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I'm running a transient particle simulation with DPM-FOAM. It involves particles flowing around an object. To get a good result I let the simulation converge for a certain time before the particles are injected.

During the simulation, I evaluate the force coefficients of the object. After the particles are injected, the coefficients oscillate (the particles are not yet near the object). This is not a problem, because the mean value still fits to the convergent solution.

Now my question: Why do the force coefficients oscillate? What is the reason behind it? And can I influence this in some way?

Greeting
Marcel

hello

Did you fix this? I am also experiencing a similar situation
