Darcy-Forchheimer: Which pressure drop is calculated?

Hi,

I am interested in modelling a porous media with the Darcy-Forchheimer-Law.

To fit the Coefficients D and F, I need to determine the pressure drop and the superficial velocity. But I dont know, whether I should use the static pressure drop or the drop of the total pressure p0. Can anyone help?
