Hello Everyone,
I am trying to model a simple case with fan using MRF zone and PQ characteristics. Please refer to the attached images for understanding the domain. I have created fan volume as cellzone and made this cell zone as MRF region. I believe swirl conditions are given in MRF zone properties. Am I right? I have created zero thickness boundary at fan inlet and assigned 'fanPressureJump' BC for pressure and 'cyclic' BC for other variables. In this way, I thought I can apply PQ characteristics for the fan. Am I right? Pressure and velocity both are unknown at inlet and outlet. I have used the following BCs for inlet and outlet, Inlet: p = Total pressure (Value = 0) v = PressureInletOutletVelocity Outlet: p = fixed value (Value = 0) v = PressureInletOutletVelocity When I ran the simulation, the flow come in through 'outlet' and exit through 'inlets'. But I want it to be other way. looks like there is some problem with BCs. Please let me know what BCs are appropriate in this case. I have also attached my case here for reference. |
