deltaT and courant number

Hello openfoamers

I have some questions about deltaT and courant number. If I set adjustTimeStep to no, I thought that maxCo is no use for this case. Am I right?

Also, since time is fixed(i guess...), I thought deltaT doesn't change. Is this right idea?

If I am wrong, please tell me how it is worked!

I just want to make fixed deltaT.

Sincerely, John

adjustTimeStep will adjust time step such as the maxCo is not exceeded . If you set the parameter to "no" then your time step deltaT shouldn't change. Which solver is this related to? some solvers might not have the functionality enabled

Thanks for your kind reply! I am using interCondesatingEvaporatingFoam. I was curious because if i make this solution to conjugate solver, i wanted to run the solver without changing delta T.
