Help in OpenFOAM Overset

2 Attachment(s)
Hello everybody,

Is someone out there, that could help me setting up a case with OpenFOAM and Overset meshing? I'm not new on OpenFOAM and have quite some experience in general use. However, working with Overset is a new challenge for me. I need to simulate a wing profile and everything converges fine, but somehow the results do not look representative (or look not how it should). There might be an error in the set-up.

At the moment looks like this (see attachment). For me this looks not perfect, since only the mesh for the wing gives a solution. How do I calculate also the farfield?

It would be nice if someone would be available for this kind of help and that I can send my case. I would provide also some more information, of course. I would really appreciate that!

Thank you and kind regards!

Problem Solved!

For everyone who is facing similar problems in the future, make sure you are setting the correct interpolation settings in the fvScheme file! I have changed it to cellVolumeWeight and that works perfectly fine now. Kind regards and a lot of success to all of you foamers!

Could you add the console log and your dictionaries (if possible) to your post? It is very difficult (at least for me) to get an idea what is going on with two images only.
My first hunch would be to check the settings for interpolation between overset and background mesh.
