Hi,
I would like to use the youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtN256WJ-5I by Jozsel Nagy, titled "Rotating Mesh Simulation Project" as a basis for learning to model rotating wheels on cars. In this video he has a rotating cylindrical mesh volume around a fan which is hanging from a ceiling. Ultimately I will basically just replace the fan with a car wheel. By using similar setup files and boundary conditions, is this a reasonable plan? For a reasonable car simulation, how far away from the tire, in terms of percentage of wheel radius and width, radially and sideways respectively, should the rotating mesh extend? |
