Hey Guys!
my case: - OF-8 - chtMultiRegionFoam - geometry surrounded by air I have attached a little sketch of my geometry. So first of all, I am managing to simulate the whole geometry. Now I would like to cut my Geometry in half (where you see the red line). So everything stays else stays the same and I only make the blockMesh in the y-direction a bit smaller. But when I try to run the case I am always getting the floating Point Exception error (i have also attached a snapshot of that). Does anyone have an idea why this happens? |

Maybe if you cut the mesh at the interior some of the boundary conditions need to be adjusted. Is that final residual for h with an exponent of -54 a typical value in your experience? Are you doing a calculation about chocolate? 🍫😋

Yes, i am working with chocolate for my master thesis
![]() The boundaries should stay the same. I also tried using different boundaries but that didn't help. I thought the value for h is pretty low too, but when I m using the whole geometry, I also get values like e-53, but it runs nevertheless... and I actually wouldn't know what to do to get a higher value. |
