Hey Guys!

my case:

- OF-8
- chtMultiRegionFoam
- geometry surrounded by air

I have attached a little sketch of my geometry. So first of all, I am managing to simulate the whole geometry.

Now I would like to cut my Geometry in half (where you see the red line). So everything stays else stays the same and I only make the blockMesh in the y-direction a bit smaller. But when I try to run the case I am always getting the floating Point Exception error (i have also attached a snapshot of that).

Does anyone have an idea why this happens?

Maybe if you cut the mesh at the interior some of the boundary conditions need to be adjusted. Is that final residual for h with an exponent of -54 a typical value in your experience? Are you doing a calculation about chocolate? 🍫😋

Yes, i am working with chocolate for my master thesis

The boundaries should stay the same. I also tried using different boundaries but that didn't help.

I thought the value for h is pretty low too, but when I m using the whole geometry, I also get values like e-53, but it runs nevertheless... and I actually wouldn't know what to do to get a higher value.
