HI Foamers,
I'd want to ask you a question about reactingFoam.
I'm simulating premixed turbulent combustion in a cubical domain with a volumetric heat source at its centre. The heat source is activated by filling the domain with premixed CH4+air and triggering a high temperature.I was able to get an Adiabatic flame temperature. However, reactants are negligibly consuming in to products. Both the reactants and products composition remains same as of initial condition even after the simulation. Is there anyone who has an opinion on this?

I have some troubles understanding the nature of your problem and the configuration. First, are you doing a steady state or transient simulation, i.e. RANS or LES?
Second, how is the flame propagating? Does the heat source persist over the whole duration and thus the flame forms a "V-shape" with the heat source anchoring the flame? Or do you just ignite the mixture with the heat source and the flame then propagates in direction of the fuel and velocity inlet? For the latter case, did you make sure that your inflow velocity is matching the turbulent flame speed or is the flame maybe simply pushed outside your domain by a too high velocity?

If you used the case of a publication or similar as a reference, maybe you could cite it here so that your problem becomes more clear.

Sorry it is not clear. Actually this is a laminar case just to start with. Later i wish to do RANS. There is no inlet or outlet here. Premixed CH4+air is filled in the cubical domain with a high temperature spherical ignition point at it's centre, considering a propagating spherical flame. I managed to do that with SetfieldsDict. Here, the source is set to persist with the whole duration of ignition. There is no flow as the mixture is just filled up the whole space. Hope your doubts are cleared.
