RANS Turbulence Model for Gas - Liquid Solid Simulations

Hello,

I am working on Simulations that of a liquid in an open atmosphere where particles and gas bubbles are being swirled in the liquid.

Much like this work: https://www.researchgate.net/publica...ing_OpenFOAM_R

I was wondering what the best RANS turbulence models I could use for the gas and liquid phase. So far I have tried kOmegaSST for both gas and liquid phase but it keeps crashing.

kEpsilon for liquid and continuousGas for the gas phase also didn't work due to the presence of the solids

In the publication above LES is used, but I have no experience with those models, which is why I was looking for RANS.

Thank you for any pointers in the right direction.
