Ansys Fluent Mesh to OpenFOAM

Dear Altruist,

I am a new user of OpenFOAM. I am working on a airfoil turbulence flow pattern. Used k-epsilon turbulence model. First of all, I have done it and get my desired output. I used this video to do this (https://youtu.be/nzvEvLCxOss). In this video, C-type mesh is used. Now I want to do this same thing in OpenFOAM (openfoam.com). I have exported the ansys mesh in ASCII and used fluentMESHtoFoam command to convert the mesh. Now my question is:

1. How can I set other files for my case, such as p, U, boundary etc?

2. I do some study, but I am confused about boundary condition of OpenFOAM, could you please help me with this?

3. How can I run my case and find the desired solution?

Hi,
Have you already check the official Openfoam tutorial for Naca airfoil ?

https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...irfoil-2d.html

Thanks. Yes, I have already seen that. But, I want to solve it from ansys fluent mesh as well as k-epsilon turbulence model.

Kindly help me.

Hi,

Did you named correctly your patches in your Fluent file ?
If you are not sure, run checkMesh then post the result.

The best would be to name the patch of your Fluent mesh exactly as the same as the boundary in the tutorial.
