Mixture of two elements in a bubble
 

Hello everyone,



I am new to OpenFOAM and working on my first project. The goal is to simulate the dynamic of a rising bubble (oil) in water.



I would like to specify that in the oil region, there are two chemical elements (acetronitrile and chlorobenzene) with their own volume fraction (0.48 and 0.52 resp.). The problem is, I have no idea how to do that. I have been searching on the Internet and on the OpenFOAM tutorials but I can not find any help.


Do you happen to know a test case using such a configuration or how to do that? I am using inerFoam, is it adapted for my project? A few people talk about a 'thermophysicalProperties' file but I do not know anything of this file.

interFoam isnt able to resolve the components inside your fluid. You need to use another solver for this purpose. The thermo library is able to do what you want.
Solvers which are using the thermo library in OF-Foundation (.org) versions are:
