Unsteady buoyant flow of water in chtMultiRegionFoam

Hi dear foamers;

I'm new to Openfoam and I appreciate any guidance on the following issue.

I'm dealing with a multi regions problem which involves buoyant flow of water (Boussinesq approximation is considered) . First I tried a steady state solution through chtMultiRegionFome in seventh version (steady state pimpleFoam), every thing went well except the residuals of water region. The temperature difference in water side is about 400 C and the Gr number exceeds the turbulence criterion, so the buoyant flow didn't converge. Consequently, I changed the time scheme to Euler but the solution failed. I've tried different schemes but solution stops after a few iteration.

It should be mentioned that I've attempted to tackle this problem by changing fvSchemes, fvSolutions, thermophysicalProperties, tempereture difference and etc.

I really hope that someone shed a light on this problem.

Thank you in advance.

Hossein
