Adjusting rhoCentralFoam to include mass deposition formula on walls

Hello everyone,

I have a project to simulate mass deposition in a vacuum break project im working on.

The case is as follows: Propagating nitrogen gas from the vacuum break is travelling at sonic velocity on a cylinder tube inlet, the cylinder is cooled with liquid helium at 4.2 K and the gas is initially at 298K. There is a formula that will calculate mass deposition based on P,T gas and T saturation, and thus mass will condensate on the tube.

The case is supposedly simple, i need to add a mass deposition term to the RHS of the continuity and energy equations of the rhoCentralFoam solver. The radial velocity on the wall is also a function of the calculated mass deposition.

Could someone guide me to where to start? Do i add the mass deposition function in a seperate file and include it in the main solver? How do i go about it?

Also an extra thing that i want to simulate is the wall temperature of the cylinder, this will have a seperate wall equation that calculates the wall temperature based on the energy of the deposited mass. Helium cooling energy also has another function to calculate energy transferred to the liquid helium

Thanks everyone! I am really looking forward to hearing some suggestions and workarounds!
