Which solver should I use for phase changing material (PCM) modeling?
 

Hi!

I'm currently trying to solve a problem with a phase changing material (PCM) in a tank which is heated/cooled by a pipe running through the tank.

The model needs to be laminar, multiregional (possible to model the PCM-region, the pipe and the water inside of the pipe), phase changing (the PCM), and it needs to model the thermodynamics in the system.

The question is then, what solver do I use?

I've been thinking about using chtMultiRegionTwoPhaseEulerFoam, but it is a complex solver and I cannot find any tutorials or good explanation on how to build this type of simulation.

Is there anyone who have a better alternative for solving this problem? Or maybe some of you have a tutorial for me so I can make chtMultiRegionTwoPhaseEulerFoam work for this case?
