Hello all,
I am trying to simulate something more elaborate which is not the point but have noticed that the error I get there is probably resulting from the follwing: This only happens when using interIsoFoam, interFoam seems to be able to properly do this. Take a simple axissymetric geometry and place a droplet at the axis as shown in the first pticture with the help of setFields. What one would reasonably expect is that at most the interface gets smoothed out, and noting else. What I see in my simulations however is that the droplet gets stretched along the direction of the axis. I dont see why the empty boundary at the axis would result in this deformation. Is there maybe something wrong in fvschemes or fvSolutions? Or is this just because of the treatment of the surface tension or the boundary done by isoAdvector? My Case setup can be found here: https://jlubox.uni-giessen.de/getlin...5hNLMyWGqN5vE/ |
