I am quite new to using OpenFoam and i wanted to verify which version of OpenFoam is best suited for the simulation of cross waves and multi directional waves around a cylinder in a numerical wave tank.

I would use esi version of openFOAM (openfoam.com). Because it has lots of materials available.
