Hello, I am currently looking

Hello,
I am currently looking at introducing waves to a wave tank model, starting with an implementation of the Airy Wave equation for a single frequency sinusoidal wave. We're hoping in the future to extend this to a spectrum of waves of different frequencies. Has anyone done this on Foam? The simplest idea seems to try to superimpose a few different Airy equations for different frequency waves, but this might be quite tricky to do in practice. I'd be interested to hear of any of your work int his area!

Thanks

Gareth

Hi Gareth,
maybe you have already seen this:

I think it's exactly what you are looking for. I recommend you the "modified" version posted at the end of the thread. I'm also new here and interested in waves for ship motions...
regards,

Gonzalo
