Hi
is there any exapple of surface tracking model can solve both bubble or droplet problem?i meaan something like 2-zone FVM flow solver, a FEM mesh motion solver and a finite area solver doing the surfactant transport,to calculated the flow in inner ,outer and surface of droplet or bubble. i find some similar thing in Hrv`s presentation of free surface flow.but there is no example. does anyone could give me some advices? wayne |

Wayne,
It is in the development version of the code. Check on sourceforge. -DPS |

Hi Wayne
Look in this directory. The solver "surfactantFoam" does at least use the FAM-routine. ~/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5-dev/applications/solvers/surfaceTracking Have fun, Niels

Hi there,
today I installed and compiled the 1.5-dev. The main reason therefore was the FAM. But unfortunately I am not able to execute the tutorial "sphereTransport" due to the error Cannot find file "faceLabels" in directory "constant/faMesh". What do I have to write into faceLabels? Or how can I produce the file "faceLabels"? Solved it already with: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...rmation-2.html Best, Andreas Last edited by lord_kossity; May 28, 2009 at 10:33. |

The command you should execute is "makeFaMesh" (or something similar, is not at a OF-machine).
I believe you can find the command in the Allrun file in the directory. Best regards, Niels |

Hi,
I am interested in thin liquid film flow simulation in OpenFOAM and eventually use this together with Lagrangian discrete particle tracking. I read (http://www.openfoamworkshop.org/2009...sak_slides.pdf) I wonder if this "OpenFOAM liquid film solver" has been implemented into OF 1.6.x? if not where can I found it (in the openfoam-extend?). I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance! John |

Hi again,
Anyone that has done liquid film simulations using FAM method in openFOAM? John |
