Hello everyone!

I'm new to OpenFoam and after a few simple cases i'm interested in running the DTCHull tutorial.

I ran it the easy way (using ./Allrun). The simulation goes smoothly, no error message but once its finished i only get one folder of results named 0. And i don't have any other time step available to post-process.

Does anyone know what i did wrong?

Denis

Hello,

Could you show us the last few lines of the interFoam and the reconstructPar log files? The tutorial, according to controlDict, should run for 4000 iterations and save every 100.

Regards

Hello, thanks for your answer.

The error in log.reconstructPar is :

"FOAM FATAL ERROR: (openfoam-2012)
No processor* directories found

From int main(int, char**)
in file reconstructPar.C at line 203."

And in the log.interFoam :

"OAM FATAL ERROR: (openfoam-2012)
[0] interFoam: cannot open case directory "/home/bbolon/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-v2012/tutorials/multiphase/interFoam/RAS/DTCHull/processor0"
[0]
[0]
FOAM parallel run exiting"

Seems like i have a problem with parrallel running.

How do i run the process without using parrallel application? (this may solve my problem i think)

What's the log for decomposePar? And what's in your folder? If you want to do a serial run you just need to run the solver without mpirun ( $interFoam)
