I want solve Taylor laminar flow (whit icoFOAM I suppose) between two Contra-Rotating cylindrers. In this it's very simple impose Bsc in cylindrical coordinates, how can I do?

Hi Dante,

In fact, OF solve NS equations in cartesian coordinate so, you've got two solutions:
1- you adapte your boundary conditions in a cartesian way
2- you change all the equations, discretisations, ect ... in a cylindrical way.

According to me, the first method is the easiest :o)

I don't know if it will help you but, at this adress from wiki: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Si...e_next_meeting

you can download a tool to rotate your boundary conditions (Patch like ... wall for example). It's a good start also to initialise your internal field.

I hope it will help you.

PS: on wiki, from Hakan Nilsson, you can find how to deals with cylindrical coordinate with OF but, for Post-processing, thank you Hakan.

Hi,
In my equation in a cylindrical coordinate I have laplacien(A), I will solve it in Open Foam.
How can I write this term in OF ?
