Hi All,
A question, if anyone has an idea:
I have a setup of a domain with one inlet and two outlets. Is it possible, in a steady incompressible calculation, where I know the mass flow at the (one) inlet to "force" the flow so that I get a certain percentage of the mass out through one or another of the outlets (say e.g one third through outlet1 and two thirds through outlet2) by specifying the outlet boundary pressure value(s)?
Cheers in advance,
Radu

Hi,

You should be able to change the outlets to inlets and fixed value and specify a negative velocity that corresponds to your required mass flow (mdot=rhoxVelocityxAreaofInlet).

In other words have 3 inlets, one of them having fluid into the domain and two having fluid out of the domain.

ps - but only if you 'know' that this is correct solution..for instance you might have recirculation at one of the negative inlets in real life.
