just wondering: Is there any way in OF to perform geomery decompsition in parallel? DecomposePar does not seem to do this, does he?

that's not possible - it doesn't fit into the parallel concept of OpenFOAM.

When I have very big cases, I you use a 64 bit machine with 16 GB of Ram - there I can decompose cases with up to 20 Mio cells.
