Hello,
I'm currently working on a new project where the spatial fluxes are calculated according to their kinetic description. Did anyone try or has some experience in implementing this technique in openFOAM? Thanks in advance, Alberto

To clarify what I mean with kinetic description of the fluxes, I forgot to say that it's basically a flux splitting method. The spatial flux G of a variable is calculated as the sum of two contributions as:
G = G+ + G- where, if we consider a cell i, f is a face of i, j is a neighbour of i along f, and n is the outward normal to the face f, G+ = G+ (i, n) G- = G- (j, n) as explained for example in J. L. Estivalezes; P. Villedieu, High-Order positivity-Preserving Kinetic Schemes for the Compressible Euler Equations, SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, Vol. 33, No. 5. (Oct., 1996), pp. 2050-2067. Regards, A.
