I wonder if someone has carried out a study of the performance of OpenFOAM under Cygwin vs Linux on the same or similar type of machine. Is there a noticeable performance difference? I ask this because I am interested in running OF under Windows primarily with the cygwin version so postprocessing can be done with other tools like Tecplot on Windows on the same machine instead of transferring files back and forth.

By the way, when I clicked on the Search button on the main page of this discussion board I get this:

The requested URL /forum/messages/1/http://www.cfd-online.com/cgi-bin/Op...cus/search.cgi was not found on this server.
