Can somebody please tell me if the following tolerances are read absolute (which dimension) or relative (to which reference):
/OpenFOAM1.x.x/.OpenFOAM1.x.x/controlDict/
slidingPointMergeTol
slidingEdgeMergeTol
slidingIntegralAdjTol
slidingEdgeMasterCatchFraction
slidingEdgeEndCutoffTol
slidingEdgeCoPlanarTol

The reason I've been asking this is because I'm struggling with sliding interfaces. Therefore, I wanted to know a little better what I'm doing.

The problem is that some points are moved in such way that several faces are degenerated to lines and points. (some of them also seems reversed)

Attached are some pictures to make things clear:
master(red)&slave(green) at time 0
masterslider at time 0
tangential cut through sliding interface at time 0
broken case
masterslider broken
tangential cut through broken sliding interface

Hopefully somebody can help me on this case.

After searching my E-Mail Account I finally found youre answer:

For reference, all the tolerances are relative and calculated based on
the local length of the relevant object in the action. Also, there are
inter-dependencies between the tolerances which should not be
violated.
