OpenMPI is the dault for openf

I know that OpenFOAM use it's openmpi with version 1.2.3. If I want to use another Openmpi or other parallization stuff like HP_MPI how can I do that?
Can I do that without compiling the whole code?

Yes. Read my post on HP-MPI[1]. I was able to rebuild the parallel library, libPstream.so (which is the only major thing you need to rebuild when switching MPI libraries) with some tweaking.
