hi everyone,
i am interested in implementing routines in openfoam to deal with charged droplets, space charge of lagrangian particles and their interaction with external fields, and rayleigh-type explosion events as the rayleigh limit is reached/evaporation occurs. 1) has this been done before or does someone know of it's existence? have i just missed it? 2) in the case that it hasn't been done, any advice as to how to go about it? i was thinking of grabbing the rayleigh-type explosion stuff from the ReitzKHRT model to test and create new parcels, and create a new lagrangian submodel for electrostatics. i was thinking of restricting the space-charge calculations to parcels existing only within the same mesh cell, as this would reduce it to an O1 problem, much like is done in direct simulation monte carlo (DSMC). thanks, ac; |
